Hershey: Wolfe resigns, Nevels new Chairman

Hershey / PA. (thc) The Hershey Company announced that Kenneth L. Wolfe, the company´s non-executive Chairman of the Board of Directors, has resigned from the company´s Board of Directors effective immediately. The Board announced its unanimous election of Director James E. Nevels to succeed Wolfe as non-executive Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Gruma: reports loss on derivatives in Q4/2008

Monterrey / MX. (gru) Gruma S.A.B. de C.V., one of the world´s leading tortilla and corn flour producers, posted a net loss in Q4/2008 because of wrong-way bets on currency derivatives. The loss was 11,1 billion MXN (760,7 million USD), or 19,74 MXN per share, compared with profit of 742 million MXN or 1,54 MXN in the year-earlier period, the company said in a statement.
