85 Degrees Coffee: to open first Beijing store

Taichung / TW. (udn) Taiwanese coffee shop and bakery 85 Degrees Coffee opened its first store in Beijing, reports the Chinese United Daily News. The chain expects to reach 91 mainland China stores by late 2009 and double the total to 182 stores by late 2010, said company Vice President Wang Jianrao. 85 Degrees expects its store totals in both Beijing and Shenzhen to exceed 20 in 2010, and it plans to enter western China by opening a store in Chengdu in the second half of 2010, Wang said. The company has more than 4’600 employees and annual business volume of more than 50 million Renminbi Yuan (4’955’500 Euro), said Wang. In Taiwan the company currently counts 326 stores.
