Burton’s Biscuit: CEO steps down after seven years

Birmingham / UK. (bbc) After seven years as Chief Executive of Burton’s Biscuit Company, Ben Clarke will step down from his role as CEO. Since joining Burton’s in 2009 Ben has overseen the transformation and sale of the business to Ontario Teachers’ Pension Fund in 2013 and the successful sale of the Cadbury business to Mondelez International. He has driven the growth of brands both old and new, materially improved the company’s assets and capabilities, built a strong international platform and significantly improved earnings. Nick Field and Simon Browne will assume joint leadership of the business. Nick Field, CFO, will become Chief Executive, leading on the Business transformation agenda, whilst Simon Browne, COO, will continue to lead the day to day operations across commercial and supply chain. Nick and Simon will both report directly to James Lambert who will continue as Chairman of the company. The company thanks Ben for his outstanding contribution as CEO.
