Toronto / CA. (ace) ACE Bakery, a division of Weston Foods, announced that Team Canada and its Master Baker Marcus Mariathas have won the prestigious Louis Lesaffre Cup along with a team from Brazil in a baking competition recently held in Argentina. Mariathas was a member of the four-person team representing Canada and this win paves the way for this team to represent Canada at the Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie, the Bakery World Cup to be held in Paris in February 2016. «This is a huge accomplishment for the ACE development team led by Marcus Mariathas, Director of Product Development, and I am very proud of the entire team and this very important achievement», said Lee Andrews, President of ACE Bakery. Teams from Canada and Brazil will represent the Americas at the World Cup of Baking, a global competition held every four years. The competition brings together the world of baking to showcase the best in innovation, design, taste and technology. ACE is proud that Marcus Mariathas will be representing Canada in this prestigious global baking showcase.
