Decatur / IL. (adm) Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) announced that the board of directors has appointed D. Cameron Findlay senior vice president, general counsel and secretary, effective July 15, 2013. He will be responsible for the Law, Compliance and Government Relations functions, will be a member of the company´s Executive Committee, and will report to ADM Chairman, CEO and President Patricia A. Woertz. He replaces Marschall Smith, who is leaving ADM to enter private practice. «Cameron is a proven leader with exceptional experience managing global legal, regulatory, compliance, and public policy issues», said Woertz. «He brings to ADM an impressive range of experience in business, government and the law, and I am pleased that he is joining our leadership team».
