Almarai: announced H1-2021 financial results

Riyadh / SA. (ac) Almarai Company announced its condensed consolidated interim financial results for the period ended 30th June 2021 (six months) on 11 July as follows.

Second Quarter of 2021 Highlights

  1. The Revenue for the Second quarter 2021 amounted to SAR 4,005.6 million, a decrease of 1.9 percent as compared to the corresponding quarter of the last year (SAR 4,081.8 million).
  2. The Gross Profit for the Second quarter 2021 amounted to SAR 1,355.7 million, a decrease of 11.7 percent as compared to the corresponding quarter of the last year (SAR 1,535.2).
  3. The Operating Profit for the Second quarter 2021 amounted to SAR 601.6 million, a decrease of 20.8 percent as compared to the corresponding quarter of the last year (SAR 759.2 million).
  4. The Consolidated Profit Attributable to Shareholders of the Company for the Second quarter 2021 amounted to SAR 482.0 million, a decrease of 25.1 percent as compared to the corresponding quarter of the last year (SAR 643.9 million) and an increase of 24.9 percent as compared to the previous quarter (SAR 385.9 million).
  5. The Comprehensive Income Attributable to Shareholders of the Company for the Second quarter 2021 amounted to SAR 458.6 million, a decrease of 33.3 percent as compared to the corresponding quarter of the last year (SAR 687.9 million) and an increase of 20.8 percent as compared to the previous quarter (SAR 379.7 million).
  6. Total Equity Attributable to Shareholders as of 30 June 2021 amounted to SAR 15,462.4 million as compared to the corresponding date of last year (SAR 14,598.1 million), an increase of 5.9 percent. The book value of one share, as of 30 June 2021, reached SAR 15.5.
  7. The Earnings per Share (EPS) based on the Consolidated Profit Attributable to Shareholders of the Company for the Period ended on 30 June 2021 (Three Months) and the corresponding Period of last year, reached SAR 0.49 and SAR 0.66, respectively. Diluted EPS for the Period ended on 30 June 2021 (Three Months) and the corresponding Period of last year are SAR 0.48 and SAR 0.64, respectively.

Six Months Period of 2021 Highlights

  1. The Revenue for the six months period ended 30 June 2021 amounted to SAR 7,650.6 million, a decrease by 0.3 percent as compared to the corresponding period of the last year (SAR 7,674.3 million).
  2. The Gross Profit for the six months period ended 30 June 2021 amounted to SAR 2,590.8 million, a decrease of 7.1 percent as compared to the corresponding period of the last year (SAR 2,788.4 million).
  3. The Operating Profit for the six months period ended 30 June 2021 amounted to SAR 1,104.0 million, a decrease of 13.2 percent as compared to the corresponding period of the last year (SAR 1,272.0 million).
  4. The Consolidated Profit Attributable to Shareholders of the Company for the six months period ended 30 June 2021 amounted to SAR 867.9 million, a decrease of 15.5 percent as compared to the corresponding period of the last year (SAR 1,026.9 million).
  5. The Comprehensive Income Attributable to Shareholders of the Company for the six months period ended 30 June 2021 amounted to SAR 838.2 million, a decrease of 14.3 percent as compared to the corresponding period of the last year (SAR 977.7 million).
  6. Total Equity Attributable to Shareholders as of 30 June 2021 amounted to SAR 15,462.4 million as compared to the corresponding date of last year (SAR 14,598.1 million), an increase of 5.9 percent. As of 30 June 2021, the book value per share reached SAR 15.5.
  7. The Earnings per Share (EPS) based on the Consolidated Profit Attributable to Shareholders of the Company for the six months period ended 30 June 2021 and the corresponding Period of last year, reached SAR 0.88 and SAR 1.05, respectively. Diluted EPS for the six months period ended 30 June 2021 and the corresponding Period of last year were SAR 0.87 and SAR 1.03, respectively.
