Anuga: 6.607 suppliers from 95 countries

Cologne / DE. (km) The 29th Anuga, which takes place from October 13th to 17th, will open in the new Cologne exhibition centre with new conceptional approaches and a product range structure that has been further refined. Anuga is the world´s largest and most important trade fair for the international food industry. A total of 6.607 suppliers from 95 nations will be exhibiting on a gross exhibition space of 304.000 square meter. The heart of Anuga is the concept of «ten specialised trade shows under one roof». «These outstanding developments underscore Anuga´s position as the world´s largest and most important food fair. And this year that status will be confirmed not only by the total number of companies exhibiting and the hall space occupied, but also by a detailed look at the individual specialist fairs», says Wolfgang Kranz, Executive Vice President of Koelnmesse GmbH.

At 83 percent, the share of exhibitors from abroad is once again very high this year. The key food-producing nations from Europe and North and South America have increasingly been joined in recent years by companies from Asia, which use Anuga to establish and strengthen their trade relations throughout the world. The leading exhibitor nations this year are Italy (1.050 companies), China (481) and Spain (477). They are followed by Greece (270), France (244), the Netherlands (210), Belgium (204), Türkiye (185), the USA (148), Thailand (146) and Brazil (146). Other countries with large contingents include Austria (115), Poland (115) and Argentina (111).

The German food industry continues to take advantage of Anuga’s status as its preferred platform for the sector. This year, 1.098 German companies will present their broad range of products and services and explore the opportunity Anuga offers them to meet directly with customers from home and abroad and intensify business relationships (press release).
