Vevey / CH. (nsa) With an acquisition in Brazil, Swiss Nestle S.A. reinforces its interest in expanding its portfolio focused on supporting health and well-being. This week Nestle Health Science (NHSc) announces the acquisition of Puravida, a premium Brazilian nutrition and healthy lifestyle brand. The deal will enable NHSc to expand its healthcare portfolio in Brazil.

Puravida is a well-known brand that has grown quickly. It was created with the purpose of promoting health through nutrition. With its organic, natural and plant-based foods as well as ‘clean label’ nutritional supplements it is aimed at consumers who take an active role in their own wellbeing. It was founded in 2015 in São Paulo by Flavio Passos, who was later joined by Adrian Franciscono as CEO and partner. In 2020, Aqua Capital became a shareholder and supported the company’s growth and transformation.
Puravida’s product mix is complementary to Nestle Health Science’s portfolio which, in Brazil, already offers oral nutritional supplements, powdered proteins and ready-to-drink nutritional drinks. Vitamins, minerals and supplements are part of a growing segment and with the acquisition of Puravida, Nestle will expand its range of brands in different categories with more ways to reach consumers and patients with reliable, nutritional and high quality products.
