Bruegger’s: Bakery-cafe leader opens first Washington D.C. location

Burlington / VT. (bw) Bruegger´s Enterprises Inc. opened the first of several Bruegger´s bakery-cafes in Washington D.C.; a second D.C. location is planned for mid-April 2008. «The District of Columbia is a new market for Bruegger´s and we are proud to be in the nation’s capital», said CEO James J. Greco. «We recently opened other locations in the vicinity, with two bakeries in Alexandria. We look forward to developing this market and becoming a part of the community». The first Washington D.C.-area Bruegger´s opened in Virginia in February of 2006. There are currently plans to open two additional bakeries later this year in both Arlington and Washington D.C.
