Campbell: Appoints Former Lee Kum Kee CEO

Camden / NJ. (csc) Campbell Soup Company announced the appointment of Daniel Saw, 53, to the role of President/Asia. Saw will oversee the company´s business in Asia, including Greater China, the Campbell-Swire joint venture and Campbell´s operations in Hong Kong. He will be responsible for driving growth and creating new business opportunities in Greater China and across Asia, with a focus on emerging markets. Saw will be based in Campbell´s Hong Kong offices. The appointment is effective May 01, 2012.

As part of the company´s new growth strategy, Campbell is focused on increasing its international presence, particularly in emerging markets.

Saw joins Campbell from Lee Kum Kee, a 124-year-old Chinese company that manufactures Asian condiments, including chili, oyster and soy sauces. Since 2009, he has served as Chief Executive Officer and a member of Lee Kum Kee´s board of directors. Prior to that, he was President of the company´s China Region. Under Saw´s leadership, Lee Kum Kee´s sales in China tripled from 2007 to 2011. During a career spanning more than 30 years, he has held a range of senior leadership and sales and marketing positions with Philip Morris, Kraft and Cadbury in China, Taiwan and Indonesia.
