Campbell: makes two senior appointments

Camden / NJ. (bw) Campbell Soup Company announced the appointments of Mark Alexander (45) as Senior Vice President-Chief Customer Officer and President-North America Baking and Snacking, and Chris Delaney (48) as President-Asia Pacific. Both appointments are effective immediately. Douglas R. Conant, Campbell´s President and Chief Executive Officer: «I am delighted that two dynamic executives will be leading these important organizations. In the course of two decades at Campbell, Mark Alexander has consistently delivered strong results in a variety of global assignments. Chris Delaney´s broad international and emerging markets experience has been instrumental to our steady progress in advancing our businesses in Russia and China. I am confident that both executives will continue to make important contributions to our company». Alexander, who has been elected a corporate officer, will be responsible for Campbell´s global sales teams in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific, and will oversee the company´s Pepperidge Farm business. He will be based at Campbell´s headquarters in Camden and will report to Conant. In the role of Chief Customer Officer, Alexander succeeds Archbold van Beuren, who has been nominated for election to the Campbell Board of Directors at the annual meeting of shareowners on November 19, 2009 and resigned from Campbell effective October 01, 2009.
