Coop Mini in Haninge Port73 opens this week

Solna / SE. (coop) Coop Mini opens this week in Haninge. Stora Coop in Haninge becomes the first grocery store in Stockholm to offer a «three in one» store, i.e. Stora Coop, 24-hour unmanned Coop Mini and Coop Hämtaskåp for online orders all in one place. Coop’s new food market concept at Stora Coop Haninge/Port 73 was opened on 29 September. Since then, the installation of the new Coop Mini adjacent to the store has been ongoing. The Coop Mini is an unmanned, 24-hour mini store where customers use the Coop’s Scan + Pay mobile app to unlock the store themselves, scan their items, pay and walk out. The approximately 30 square metre store contains several hundred dry, chilled and frozen items, as well as a limited range of fresh bread, fruit and vegetables. If something is missing, it is easily ordered online at coop.se and collected from the cupboard outside the store. This is the third Coop Mini for Coop Stores and Supermarkets. The other two are in Täby Park and Gåvsta, 1.5 miles northeast of Uppsala. At Coop Tystberga outside Nyköping, most of the offer and the store remain open even after the staff have gone home. Here the customer locks the door, in the same way as in Coop Mini.

«It feels great to now be able to offer the people of Haninge our food market concept and the three-in-one store in full,» says Bojan Mezner store manager at Stora Coop Haninge.

«We see a growing need among our customers to be able to shop for high-quality food at times and places that suit different lifestyles. With round-the-clock unmanned stores and hybrid stores combined with our e-commerce offering where we offer supermarket selection at supermarket prices, I hope that customers experience Coop as a forward-thinking partner and support in making the most of their lives,» says Meta Persdotter, CEO of Coop Stores + Supermarkets.
