Corbion: completes its leadership team

Amsterdam / NL. (csm) Corbion, former CSM, completed its leadership team by establishing an Executive Committee to enhance the execution of its updated strategy, «Disciplined Value Creation». As announced at the Capital Markets Day in October, Corbion will focus on strengthening its core business in ingredients for food and biochemicals (Biobased Ingredients), while leveraging its technology to build new business platforms in the biotechnology arena (Biobased Innovations). Andy Muller will be joining Corbion as part of the Executive Committee and will be responsible for the business unit Biobased Ingredients. Tjerk de Ruiter, CEO of Corbion, comments: «With more than 30 years of extensive experience in the food ingredients and flavour and fragrances industry, the last decade in senior roles within Dupont Nutrition + Health, Andy has the background and credentials to successfully lead the Biobased Ingredients business and deliver the goals we set in our updated strategy Disciplined Value Creation». The Executive Committee, consisting of the Board of Management and three business leaders, will be operational as per 01 January 2015. Marc den Hartog (Operations) and Johan van der Hel (HR) will also join the Executive Committee. Tjerk de Ruiter explains: «With the set-up of this enhanced leadership team, we will be better positioned to drive a common agenda across Corbion and to set clear priorities».
