Canton / MA. (db) Dunkin’ Donuts, America’s all-day, everyday stop for coffee and baked goods, announced the signing of a multi-unit store development agreement with two existing franchise groups to develop nine Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants and one multi-brand unit with Baskin-Robbins, the world’s largest chain of ice cream specialty shops, in Alabama over the next several years. The two franchise groups and their development plans include:
- Existing franchisee Bluemont Group LLC, plans to develop five new Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in the Greater Birmingham area, specifically in Gadsden, Talladega, Anniston and Oxford. This group currently operates 22 restaurants throughout Tennessee in Knoxville, Chattanooga and Nashville, and will also be developing restaurants in Atlanta. Led by Dave Baumgartner, the team’s first Birmingham location is planned to open in summer 2017.
Existing franchise group, Shri Ambe LLC, plans to develop four Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants, including one multi-brand unit with sister brand Baskin-Robbins, in Montgomery. Led by Sachin Patel, Samir Patel and Hemen Patel, this team currently operates one Dunkin’ Donuts restaurant in Auburn. This group’s next restaurant is planned to open in 2017.
