Helsinki / FI. (fg) Finland’s Fazer Group is planning the renewal of its operative organisation to make its operations more customer oriented and strengthen its competitiveness in a changing operational environment. Fazer will start collaboration negotiations in the Fazer Food Services business. They will include 74 people. If carried out, the planned changes may lead to the termination to 30 positions, at the most. Fazer will support those whom the termination of employment would affect.
Fazer is planning the renewal of the operative organisation its food service business to support the growth strategy of its food services. The goal is to work in an even more customer oriented way. The plan is to reorganise operational work according to the different account groups. The planned changes are aimed at strengthening Fazer Food Services’ competitiveness in a changing market.
«Our plan is to divide operative business into account groups: children and seniors (Public), students and event restaurants (Concession) and working people (Business). Our goal is to offer the different account groups more tailor-made service solutions and daily experiences at our restaurants», says Managing Director of Fazer Food Services Jaana Korhola.
Fazer will start collaboration negotiations in the Fazer Food Services business concerning possible changes in the managerial tasks of the restaurant organisation. The collaboration negotiations about personnel reductions will include 74 people all over Finland. If carried out, the planned changes may lead to the termination to 30 positions, at the most.
It is important for Fazer to try to secure the future of those who have worked for the company. «We invest in activities aimed at relocation and have individual discussions with everybody about the situation. We actively share information about open positions in the Fazer Group and cooperate with the employment authorities», says Korhola.
Fazer employs 6’700 people in Finland. Of them, 3’300 work in Fazer Food Services. Fazer Food Services offers meal services in over 600 restaurants all over Finland.
