(hbi / ibt) Hostess Brands Inc. announced November 20 at 19:08 EST that a mediation at the same day with the Bakery, Confectionary, Tobacco and Grain Millers Union (BCTGM) was unsuccessful. The Company will have no further comment until a hearing, scheduled for November 21 at 11:00 EST, before the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. «Unfortunately, the last minute mediation efforts by Judge Drain were not successful», said Teamsters General Secretary-Treasurer Ken Hall in his statement on failed mediation between Hostess and BCTGM – November 20 at 20:24 EST. «As we said on Friday when the company announced it was closing, this is a tragic outcome and our thoughts and prayers go out to all Teamster Hostess members and all Hostess employees».
