Las Vegas / AZ. (ibie) Registration is now open for the 2016 International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE), the largest and most comprehensive event in the Western Hemisphere for the grain-based food industry. Sponsored by the American Bakers Association (ABA), the Baking Equipment Manufacturers and Allieds (BEMA) and the Retail Bakers of America (RBA), IBIE brings the entire professional baking community together, offering the complete range of equipment, supply and ingredient solutions in over 700’000 square feet of exhibit space.
The 2016 Baking Expo, held from October 08 to 11 in Las Vegas, is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever with 77 percent of the show floor sold out a year ahead of the triennial event. This means more suppliers and more options for the 20’000+ domestic and international bakery professionals who spend millions of dollars on the show floor. «The emphasis placed on increasing international attendance over the past show cycles continues to grow with newer and stronger strategic partnerships», said Michael Cornelis, IBIE Chairman. «In 2013, 26 percent of our total attendance consisted of international attendees. IBIE is incredibly proud of this feat and is on track to deliver an even greater forum for bakers and suppliers to connect and conduct business».
IBIE’s presence at MOBAC in Japan, iba in Germany and Gulfoods Manufacturing in Dubai is indicative of its commitment to increasing international attendance. As a selected participant in the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Buyer Program, IBIE is poised to leverage great benefits to attendees from organized delegations. While at iba, IBIE Committee representatives met with eleven international delegations to discuss opportunities for partnerships to further build the international program. These delegates represented countries such as South Africa, Brazil, China, Italy and Germany.
