Cologne / DE. (km) At this year´s International Sweets and Biscuits Fair (ISM) a total of 1’402 suppliers from 67 countries presents confectionery and snack products from 27th to 30th January to an international trade audience. Once again the fair features a host of new items and innovations. The main platform for all the latest developments is the New Product Showcase, located on the ISM Boulevard, where exhibitors unveil their latest attractions. All journalists visiting ISM are invited to take part in the vote for the top three innovations. This year´s ISM features a wide variety of trends, including not only low-fat and low-sugar products but also confectionery and snack items for consumers with special requirements – in example lactose-free, gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian. Further top trends are, once again, sustainability, fair trade and proof of origin. Meanwhile, new flavours and combinations will be on offer throughout all sectors – from sugar confectionery to snack items. As topical as ever are top quality, high-grade ingredients and processing, and original packaging.
