J+J Snack Foods: reports Q4 and FY-2014 sales and earnings

Pennsauken / NJ. (jj) J+J Snack Foods Corporation, a leading niche snack food and beverage company, announced sales and earnings for its fourth quarter and year ended September 27, 2014. Sales for the fourth quarter increased seven percent to 253.5 million USD from 237.9 million USD in last year´s fourth quarter. For the year ended September 27, 2014, sales increased six percent to 919.5 million USD from 867.7 million USD last year. Net earnings increased nine percent to 22.2 million USD (1.18 USD per diluted share) in this year´s fourth quarter compared to 20.3 million USD (1.08 USD per diluted share) last year and for the year earnings increased twelve percent to 71.8 million USD (3.82 USD per diluted share) from 64.4 million USD (3.41 USD per diluted share). Operating income increased seven percent to 32.9 million USD this year from 30.8 million USD in the year ago period for the fourth quarter. For the year, operating income increased ten percent to 106.8 million USD from 97.4 million USD last year. Gerald B.
