Krispy Kreme: to Expand in the United Kingdom

Winston-Salem / NC. (kkd) Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Inc., member of the South Korean Lotte Group, announced that it has signed a new development agreement with its franchisee in the United Kingdom, Krispy Kreme UK Limited, under which the franchisee has agreed to open an additional 35 locations in Great Britain over the next six years. Krispy Kreme UK currently operates 45 doughnut shops across the country. «There is a lot of excitement and energy around the Krispy Kreme brand and our products in the UK», said Jeff Welch, Krispy Kreme President, International. «Our franchise partners in the UK are seasoned operators and we look forward to continued success in that market». Currently, Krispy Kreme doughnuts can be found in over 660 stores in 21 countries, including Australia, Bahrain, Canada, China, Dominican Republic, Indonesia, Japan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mexico, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, the Republic of Korea, Qatar, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Türkiye, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and the United States.
