Lantmännen announces new Head of Cerealia business

Stockholm / SE. (lc) Thomas Isaksson, current Managing Director of Vaasan Oy and Head of Lantmännen Unibake’s Fresh Bakery business area, is appointed new Executive Vice President and Head of Lantmännen Cerealia starting March 01, 2023. He succeeds Magnus Kagevik, who has held the position in an acting role since August of 2022.

«I’m happy to announce that Thomas Isaksson is entering the role Head of Lantmännen Cerealia. During the past several years, Thomas has done an excellent job within Unibake and Vaasan, and I am convinced that he – with his good leadership and solid experience from both Lantmännen and other parts of the food industry – is the right person to lead Cerealia going forward. It is also positive that we once again are able to fill a leading position with an internal candidate,» says Magnus Kagevik, Group President and CEO of Lantmännen.

In his new role, Thomas Isaksson will be part of Lantmännen’s Group Management Team and report to Magnus Kagevik. Thomas, who is from Finland, has been with Lantmännen since the Vaasan acquisition in 2015 – originally as MD of Vaasan, and later as Business Area Manager for Lantmännen’s fresh bread business. Before Lantmännen, Thomas has worked in the confectionery and chocolate industry at Cloetta, in various commercial and leading roles.

«I’m grateful for the trust placed in me to lead Cerealia, and I look forward to continuing to develop the business together with all my fellow colleagues and co-workers. Cerealia has several strong products and brands, and I see great opportunities on the road ahead. I would also like to thank all my colleagues within Vaasan and Unibake for the good cooperation these past seven years. It’s been a fantastic journey, and I now feel comfortable with passing the torch,» says Thomas Isaksson.
