Toledo / OH. (mf) Marco’s Pizza – Marco’s Franchising LLC – currently is the fastest-growing pizza company in the U.S. (based on the number of stores signed into development since 2007). Marco’s was founded by Italian born Pasquale Giammarco. The first Pizza store opened in Toledo 1978. Today, there are more than 700 Marco’s Pizza stores in 35 U.S. states and three countries (the Bahamas, India and Puerto Rico) and the company employs about 20’000 people. Now the company announces aggressive growth plans for Iowa (10 new locations), Minnesota (60), New Mexico (10), Pennsylvania (40), Nevada (5) and Wisconsin (25). The brand plans to ramp up growth through a selective strategy and aims to open the new locations in the next three to five years. There are currently two thriving locations open in Des Moines.
Minnesota: The company continues its growth in Minnesota with plans to introduce 60 new locations creating more than 1’500 new jobs throughout the greater Minneapolis area. The brand plans to ramp up growth through a selective strategy and aims to open the new locations in the next three to five years. There are currently three thriving locations open in Minneapolis.
New Mexico: The company continues its growth in Albuquerque with plans to introduce 10 new locations creating more than 250 new jobs throughout the market. The brand plans to ramp up growth through a selective strategy and aims to open the new locations in the next three to five years. There is currently one highly successful location open in Albuquerque.
Pennsylvania: The company continues its growth in Pennsylvania with plans to introduce 40 new locations creating more than 1’000 new jobs throughout the greater Pittsburgh area. The brand plans to ramp up growth through a selective strategy and aims to open the new locations in the next three to five years. There are currently two thriving locations open in Pittsburgh.
Nevada: The company announces its growth initiative in Nevada with plans to introduce five new locations creating more than 125 new jobs throughout the greater Reno area. The brand plans to ramp up growth through a selective strategy and aims to open the new locations in the next three years.
Wisconsin: The company continues its growth in Wisconsin with plans to introduce 25 new locations, creating more than 300 new jobs throughout the state. The brand plans to ramp up growth through a selective strategy, bringing these locations to the two targeted markets within the next three to five years. Currently, there are nine successful locations throughout Madison and Green Bay.
