Modern Bakery Moscow: about ice and ice cream

Weiden / DE. (owp) For the bakery and confectionery branch in Russia, the topic of ice and ice cream is becoming increasingly important. The organizer of the Modern Bakery Moscow 2014 will also be addressing this topic from 23 to 26 April 2014 and, together with the Russian Ice Cream Association, will be embarking on close cooperation. «The Modern Bakery Moscow is the leading trade fair for the Russian bakery and confectionery sector and always sets out in new directions, placing emphasis on specific topics. Therefore, we are very happy to have found a great advocate and supporter in the form of the Russian Ice Cream Association», explains Bernd Fichtner, managing director of the organizer of the Modern Bakery Moscow 2014 trade fair.

The Ice Cream Association

The Russian Ice Cream Association has existed since April 2000 and represents the interests of more than 200 organisations and about 150 companies. The most important tasks of the association are, first and foremost, to represent the interests of the ice cream industry and to take an influence on the legislative activities of the Russian government. Here, for instance, the value added tax for ice cream could be reduced from 20 to ten percent. In addition, the association organizes the supra-regional cooperation in Russia with the regions and the coordination with different Federal authorities.

Modern Bakery Moscow has already set accents and picked up on new trends in the branch for the last 19 years. «In 2014, many visitors can once again look forward to an exciting and interesting supporting programme with many interesting themes», Fichtner supplements. In April 2014 the 20th Modern Bakery Moscow takes place at the Expocentre Fairgrounds Moscow. The event is the leading trade fair for confectionery and bakery in Russia and CIS.
