Liverpool / UK. (rgf) British Real Good Food Company PLC has launched its newly constructed Liverpool Development Centre and Academy, which will serve as an international hub for food manufacturing innovation and cake decoration skills training for the Company.
The Company, which owns a number of well-known names in the food manufacturing market, has recently re-organised into three divisions: cake decoration, food ingredients and premium bakery.
The opening of its state of the art Development Centre will add to the Company’s global toolkit – allowing further product development, innovation and refinement across all Group operating companies. The Centre will be a platform for the inspirational application of Real Good Food products and will allow the Company to embrace and test emerging technologies in ingredients, processes and packaging.
The new facility based in Wavertree also incorporates an Innovation Centre – which has been fitted with world-class baking equipment and top-of-the-range technology as well as The Renshaw Academy which will train and develop students and industry professionals from all over the world in the latest techniques in cake decoration. The Academy aims to partner with Liverpool City College.
The Academy will tap into the ever growing demand for cake decoration and will support the growing spectrum of consumers in that market from world renowned professionals to the first time novice.
The building has been fitted with world-class teaching aids, equipment, tools and technology and has the ability to live-stream classes or demonstrations around the world. The first students will begin courses in July.
Wavertree will also become the Northern hub of the Group – serving as the regional office for Real Good Food plc – housing Group HR, Technical and Operations teams.
