(div) According to official data of the Russian Federal Statistics Service (Rosstat), flour output totaled 4,9 million tones in the first half year in Russia, up 0,3 percent from the same period in 2008. At that, oats production increased by 7,9 percent to 595’000 tones. At the same time, production of bread and bakery products reduced by 4,1 percent to 3,5 million tones in the indicated period. Output of confectionery was down 6,6 percent and totaled 1,3 million tones – according to agrimarket.info.
