Milford / CT. (ssc) The Subway restaurant chain, which has more than 400’000 «Sandwich Artists» working with customers in more than 40’000 restaurants worldwide on a daily basis to make the perfect sandwiches and salads, has crowned «Subway Sandwich Artist» Nitasha Truss, from Tucson, Arizona, as the 2015 «Subway Sub Jammers Champion».
Truss took home the championship after competing against a field of more than 100 «Sandwich Artists» from around the world at the brand’s annual convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, recently.
«This is definitely one of the most exciting parts of our annual convention», said Trevor Haynes, Global Director of Restaurant Operations for the brand. «The Sub Jammers competition is an outstanding way to honor the commitment and skills of our «Sandwich Artists», who provide a positive dining experience every day for each customer that walks into their restaurants. It is wonderful to get «Sandwich Artists» from across the globe all in one place to compete to see who takes home the Sub Jammers title and international bragging rights!».
Already the fastest and friendliest workers in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry, the «Subway» Sub Jammers are judged on speed, accuracy and sandwich appearance. The scoring is based on speed to make a sandwich with points subtracted for discrepancies in appearance and accuracy. Each «Sandwich Artist» taking part in the Sub Jammers competition previously won their respective regional event leading up to the championship round.
Nitasha Truss has been with «Subway» restaurants for over eight years. She loves interacting with her customers each and every fast-paced day. This is her fourth time competing, second time finishing in first place, and third time finishing in the top two (Imgage Source: Subway Germany).
