«We are very honoured that the Crown Princess Couple chose to visit Fazer. We had an interesting discussion about our research work, food innovation and sustainability, among other things. We also discussed our withdrawal from the Russian market, and the royal guests were particularly interested in how the war in Ukraine has affected the food market and Fazer, and also asked many questions about oats and food waste products,» says CEO Christoph Vitzthum.

The Crown Princess and The Prince also received gifts. The traditional gift bag contained a representative selection of Fazer products, including porridge, rye bread, chocolate, oat xylitol and sweets. Prince Daniel received a handmade 50-piece «Karl Fazer Blue» chocolate cake for his birthday. The couple’s children were remembered with a chocolate tractor and a basketball according to their interests. The treats were handmade at Fazer Café «Glogatan.»

This was the first royal visit to Fazer in the company’s history. In August 2017, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia visited Fazer’s tent during Finland’s 100th anniversary celebrations in Stockholm. Christoph Vitzthum hosted the visit on that occasion as well (Photo: Fazer Group).
