Among the hundreds of competing companies, the selected finalists represent a diverse range of industries, including energy, cleantech, fintech, agtech, healthtech, musictech, and more. During the event, these finalists will vie for prestigious titles such as «Startup Company of the Year» or «Growth Company of the Year.» Additionally, awards like the «Social Impact Award,» «Audience Award,» «Industrial Award,» and «Business Award» will be presented.
Techarenan CEO and Founder, Omid Ekhlasi, expressed his enthusiasm for this year’s lineup of finalists, «This is one of the strongest and most versatile line-ups we’ve had so far at Techarenan Challenge. It’s impressive to see how entrepreneurs in various fields change their respective industries, create new standards, and improve society. Each finalist has demonstrated a unique innovation or business idea with the potential for global commercialization.»
Sepehr Mousavi, Co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer of Swegreen, also shares his excitement and perspective on this nomination. «Swegreen’s inclusion as a finalist further validates our commitment to driving positive change in the food and retail industry through our innovative approach. While this is not our first nomination for prestigious lists in the Nordics and Europe, or global lists like the Foodtech 500, the competitiveness of Techarenan adds extra value.»
The finals of Techarenan Challenge 2023 will take place at Almedalsveckan, a highly regarded forum that brings together professionals from the private and public sectors. The 30 finalist companies will pitch in front of a jury on the Techarenan Challenge event stage on June 28. The jury consists of well-known investors and entrepreneurs with broad knowledge in the Nordic tech and startup ecosystem. Seven companies move through to a final round of pitches on June 29, which takes place before a live audience and TV production on the Techarenan main stage.
