Kiev / UA. (ami) As of August 01, 2009, agricultural enterprises of Ukraine (except of small ones), and grain storing and processing enterprises stocked 21,2 million tonnes (up ten percent compared to August 01, 2008), including 13,2 million tonnes of wheat; 5,7 million tonnes of barley; 0,7 million tonnes of maize; 0,5 million tonnes of rye; informed the State Committee of Statistics of Ukraine on August 13. Directly agrarian enterprises stocked 12,9 million tonnes of grains (up eleven percent compared to the previous year indices), including 7,9 million tonnes of wheat; 3,5 million tonnes of barley; 0,4 million tonnes of maize; 0,2 million tonnes of rye. Grain storing and processing enterprises stocked 8,3 million tonnes of grains (up nine percent compared to August, 2008). According to the data of the State Committee of Statistics, as of August 01, 2009, sunflower seed reserves in Ukraine totaled 0,6 million tonnes (source: agrimarket.info).
