Kiev / UA. (ami) According to forecasts, in 2020, the annual flour production in Ukraine will total nearly 1,8 to 1,9 million tonnes, declared Rodion Rybyhinsky, the editor-in-chief of the periodical «Storage and grain processing», on August 20. According to the expert, the decrease of the population size in Ukraine will cause the reduction of flour production volumes. To date, the tendency also exists. According to Rybyhinsky, the segment of flour exports from Ukraine shows the tendency of growth. In 2006, Ukraine exported 88 thousand tonnes of flour, but in 2008, the exports increased to the record level of 260 thousand tonnes due to bans for grains exports from Ukraine in the period. In 2009, flour exports will total nearly 116 thousand tonnes (source: agrimarket.info).
