Will Kazakhstan stay as flour export leader in 2010/2011?

Astana / KZ. (ami) During the last three years Kazakhstan takes the first place in the world in the rating of flour exporters. According to the estimations of the experts this milling year flour export volumes from Kazakhstan will total about 3,5 million tonnes. The major geography of Kazakhstan flour export is the countries of Central Asia (Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan) and Afghanistan. Their total share of the general export volume totals over 95 percent. During the last ten years Kazakhstan was the major supplier of flour on the market. In 2011 after embargo cancellation for flour export Russian flour will start to come to the foreign market again. Before the Decree about export ban coming into force Russian flour producers actively learned the markets of the Central and Middle Asia, which to date are occupied by Kazakhstan enterprises.
