Tokyo / JP. (ni) Yamazaki Baking Co. Limited, Japan’s largest manufacturer of bread, sweet buns and more, plans to build for 20 billion JPY (approximately 171 million EUR) a brand new baking plant in or near Kobe (Hyogo Prefecture), where the Company currently produces frozen dough. According to nikkei.co.jp the construction will begin by the end of the year and raise the production capacity in the Kensai region by around ten percent. The new facility will be the fifth Yamazaki-plant in the region. The last bakery, the Group built from scratch in Japan, was 1990 in Anjo near Nagoya (Aichi Prefecture).
