Zurich / CH. (aag) Swiss-Irish Aryzta AG announces the appointment of Gregory Sklikas as CEO Europe as a sucessor to Dermot Murphy, who has decided to step down from his position. Gregory will join Aryzta at the end of May 2018 with Dermot providing mentoring and support as Gregory transitions into the role on Dermot’s departure at the end of August.
Commenting the change, Chief Executive Kevin Toland said: «Dermot has provided great leadership and support during a period of significant change and transition for the Group. I would like to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to Dermot for his invaluable contribution to Aryzta throughout his 20 years’ service, and to wish him well in his future endeavours. At the same time I want to welcome Gregory who brings a wealth of experience and achievement across the food sector in Europe».
Dermot Murphy said: «In my 20 years in Aryzta I have had wonderful experiences and have fully enjoyed my time working with the Aryzta teams both in Europe and across the Globe. I wish Kevin, his new management team and everybody in Aryzta much success for the future».
Gregory Sklikas is a seasoned international business leader, who has spent the whole of his career in food – 14 years with Unilever and 11 years with Royal Friesland Campina (RFC). His most recent role was COO, EMEA for Friesland Campina, based in The Netherlands with full P+L responsibility for 4 billion EUR sales, 10’000 people, 14 operating companies, overseeing 35 countries and 21 factories in the region. Prior to this he successfully ran South East Europe and also Greece.
