Anuga: formally opening ceremony on 05 October

Cologne / DE. (km) Günther H. Oettinger, Member of the European Commission and Commissioner for Energy, and Dr. Werner Hoyer, President of the European Investment Bank, will hold the opening speeches and be the guests of honour at the opening ceremony of the 32nd Anuga on 05 October. The Anuga opening ceremony traditionally serves as the beginning of the world´s largest and most important trade fair platform for the international food industry. The participants will be addressed by BVLH-President Friedhelm Dornseifer and BVE-Chairman Dr. Wolfgang Ingold. With around 6’700 suppliers on a gross exhibition space of 284’000 square metres, the trade fair is booked out. For five days, from 05 to 09 October, suppliers from 100 countries will be showing the entire global product range of food and beverages. Around 155’000 visitors are expected to come to the event from all over the world. On all five days of the fair, Anuga will open its doors at 10:00 in the morning instead of at 09:00, as has previously been the case. The organizers of Anuga are Koelnmesse and the Federal Association of the German Retail Grocery Trade (BVLH) in Berlin. The conceptual sponsors of Anuga are the Federation of German Food and Drink Industries (BVE) and the German Hotel and Restaurant Association (Dehoga). Both organizations are based in Berlin.
