Shanghai / CN. (ghm) Bakery China – International Trade Fair for the Bakery and Confectionery Industry in China – is the largest trade fair of its kind in Asia and Oceania. It opens its´ doors in Shanghai every year, with GHM and IMAG as the largest co-organizer representing the international region. In 2010 the organizers counted 65.180 visitors and 914 exhibitors on 70’000 square metres.
China, once a developing country which has now emerged as a newly industrialised nation, has become an engine of the global economy, with ever-increasing opportunities for foreign suppliers and investors. The food industry is one of the fastest-growing sectors and, in accordance with this trend, bread, cakes, pastries and sweets also record a continuous rise in turnover figures.
