Stockholm / SE. (lg) According to Sweden’s Lantmännen Group, on 07 December Lantmännen Agroetanol received the European Commission’s decision in its competition law investigation. The European Commission has found that Lantmännen Agroetanol has been involved in an infringement of European competition rules in ethanol trade for a period, just over 10 years ago. Against this background, the Commission has imposed a fine of EUR 47,7 Million on Lantmännen Agroetanol. Lantmännen Agroetanol has cooperated fully with the European Commission throughout the investigation. Lantmännen Agroetanol contests the findings of the European Commission’s decision and will continue to fully exercise its rights of defense, including appeals to the European Courts.
