Espoo / FI. (val) Valmet will supply an automation solution to Melitta Europe for the company’s paper production plant in Minden, Germany. The order includes Valmet’s distributed control system, Valmet IQ quality control system and Valmet IQ fault detection system. The solution will replace the plant’s existing, ageing automation system. Using Valmet’s latest automation technology, the fully integrated solution will help Melitta to efficiently optimise its production and ensure optimum quality.
«We chose Valmet’s solution for our upgrade project because we wanted an all-inclusive package that included a distributed control system, quality control system and fault detection. Valmet’s automation solution is well known in the pulp and paper industry and Valmet has a lot of experience in paper production processes,» says Eduard Pertsch, Technical Manager at Melitta Minden.
