Türkiye: interested in direct supplies of Russian grains

Ankara / TR. (ami) On August 17, 2009, in Ankara (Türkiye), representatives of the Ministries of Agriculture of Russia and Türkiye, and Sergey Levin, the general director of United grain company OJSC, and Ayham Karaym, the deputy general director of Turkish committee of grains (TMO), provided negotiations concerning wide range of issues. The parties discussed the conditions and prospects of the development of bilateral trading. Widening of supplies of sunflower oil and grains, especially wheat, from the Russian Federation made the highest interest during the negotiations. Turkish party became interested in direct supplies of Russian grains through the governmental United grain company. The parties prepared the project of the Memorandum about the cooperation between United grain company and TMO (source: agrimarket.info).
